Eating a raw food diet – how much is enough?
There are 3 main types of raw food dieters. There are those who like me want to eat healthily and know that by increasing the amount of raw food that they consume they will help their health. I generally eat between 60 and 70% of my food raw.
Then there are a second group of people who are looking to lose weight on a raw food diet. This group also includes the whole business of detoxing and fast weight loss. This will entail you eating most of your food raw for a few days. then you move to a lower level depending on your needs.
The final group are people who are on a vegan diet and are looking to try and learn more about eating raw food and ensuring their health through balancing their food intake. Some people even attempt to go 100% raw. I am not aiming at this personally and I actually think it would be harmful for me.
For most people in the first 2 groups the question comes up about how much of their food should be raw. The answer is not as simple as you would think. As I said, I aim for 60 -70 % of my food being raw. Some weeks it might be 40% other weeks it can be 90%. Only you will know what is possible in your situation with your body.
Here are some of the factors that affect your decision on the amount of raw food to eat.
- How heavy you are.
- Medical conditions may dictate consumption of certain foods.
- Your eating patterns in your life so far.
- How long you have been eating junk food.
- Allergies and food sensitivity.
- Your family situation.
For some people a raw food diet detox will be the ideal way to get started because they are basically healthy. For others it could be a death wish becuase hteir bodies can’t cope with such a steep change in their diet.

Once you have become accustomed to eating this level of raw food you can then set a new goal that suits your body and your mind. Your mind is crucial to going on a diet. If you are not inwardly persuaded that the raw food diet is for you you will cheat. I am an expert dieter of 30 years and I know this to be true. Now I have lost lots of weight and eat a healthy raw food diet my mind is convinced.

i would like it if someone can tell me exacly how and what to eat in a raw food diet break lunch and dinner,things i eat are all fruit ,veg,lara bars,toffu,light and fit yogurt,and raw or stevia sugar.whats a recamended penutbutter.
