What Are The Health Benefits Of The Raw Food Diet?

Eating food in its natural raw state is one of the best and easiest ways for our bodies to absorb the full range of nutrients that we need on a daily basis.  In other words, a  raw carrot has more nutrition than when it is cooked.

This is because food alters when it is cooked and , can become  harder to digest as  it looses it’s original chemical make-up. As soon as we start to affect our digestive system, we upset the natural rhythm of our bodies which can lead to constipation and other eating disorders.

This upset in our natural eating pattern can in turn lead to over-eating.  This is the result of our bodies craving certain nutrients but not getting enough in the range of foods we eat.  Our bodies then send out signals that we have not eaten enough.

What Your Body Needs

Our bodies naturally need a diet of high fibre, high water content and fresh produce.  This in turn makes sure that our bodies do not develop constipation,  and any other blockages in our circulation system.  Obstructions are cleared and our bodies maintain a healthy circulation system.  Our bodies are able to absorb the full range of nutrients needed for healthy everyday living and no longer over-eat.

The Benefits Of Raw Food

Our metabolism is naturally boosted by raw food.  Our bodies may spend a little more energy digesting the food but we don’t need to spend so much effort ridding our bodies of toxins.  Our liver and kidneys function more efficiently and we experience a general feeling of greater well-being. Our bodies are more satisfied and are less inclined to over-eat as we have all we need to enable us to lead a healthy and well ordered existence.

Great post, I am currently trying a juicing diet. I do two raw fruit/veg juices a day and I eat a healthy meal of steamed veg with chicken or fish at night. I intend to eventually move on to a raw food diet to maximise my weight loss.

I have been on this diet for a week and so far I have lost 9lbs and 9.5 inches. I feel far more energised than I have on any other diet and my skin looks fantastic.

I look forward to reading more of your raw food posts.
