The opposite of raw food is cooked food. Cooked food has had many of the vital nutrients taken out it during the cooking process. Raw food has all the good bits left in along with all the vitamins and nutritious bits left in.

The other thing that occurs in cooking food is that the basic chemistry is changed and often the resultant food is much harder to digest. Our bodies were not designed to absorb cooked food as a normality. We need the high fibre and fresh constituents in uncooked food to help our bodies digestion. It can help you with removing constipation of your bowels, cells and circulation. Raw food also increases blood flow to your whole body. This increases the speed that nutrients are delivered around the body. It also helps to carry away toxic metabolites.

Raw Food and Obesity

Because of our diets of overcooked and processed food it is almost impossible not to put weight on and become obese. If you eat a high proportion of raw food you body will be nourished and need less food to feel satisfied. One clear and easy method of curing obesity is to increase you raw food intake to at least 50% of your diet. When you eat raw foods you boost your metabolism. It takes quite a bit more energy for your system to digest raw food. Instead of attempting to make sense of the cooked food you body can focus on extracting the maximum goodness out of the raw food you are eating.

Getting the Raw Food Diet Message To Your Brain

You learn how to read the signs your digestion system is sending. With a raw food diet you will feel fuller in a shorter amount of time. You will actually feel the need to reduce the amount of food you want to eat. Your body will in a matter of weeks become accustomed to eating less. You will almost certainly lose the desire for highly cooked and processed foods.

    I always feel a ton better if I eat more raw food than cooked food. It is just hard to find everything that I like when I want it. Row food is tough but, it is worth it.
