The 4 Top Raw Food Diet Lies
When you decide to go on a Raw Food diet you expect to get help and support to do well. If you are going on a raw food type diet to lose weight then you need to know that there are lies told about dieting that have been told for years by nearly every diet scheme out there. I have been dieting all my adult life and having finally succeeded in 2008 I now know that most of the diet schemes and gurus are telling lies. Here are the top 4 raw food diet lies that I have fought against – in no particular order.
Raw Food Diet Lie 1. You will not be hungry on this diet.
You so want to believe this when you start on a diet because you know you will be hungry. You also know you will be eating less food so how can you not be hungry? And yet diet book after diet book insist that you will not feel hungry on their diet. You will not be stuffing your stomach with food all day like you normally do so it means you will be hungry. Certainly that fact that you are eating more raw food will help but you will still have the odd pang of hunger.
Raw Food Diet Lie 2. You do not need willpower on this diet.
Another way they phrase this is that you will find it easy to stick to. To go on a strict raw food diet demands willpower and the resolve of iron. This is a battle for your mind and your addiction to bad food choices of the past. It will not be easy. I still find I crave sausage and chips or a burger king meal which is mad really because I never liked them in the first place.
Raw Food Diet Lie 3. You can eat a raw food diet and no one will know you are doing it.
Eating raw food as your main diet is quite a radical departure from the diet that most of your friends and family will be on. They are going to notice and want to ask questions. They will also make helpful comments like – “You are completely off your head!” Its much better to be upfront and eat what you are allowed with a little explanation if you feel it needs it.
Raw Food Diet Lie 4. You will find it easy to keep the weight off when you finish.
You will find it very difficult to keep the weight off even though you will now be eating a good healthy diet. You have to plan your strategy for keeping slim at the end of your diet. It will not just happen.
