When I first looked at changing to a raw food diet I did the easy things first. I knew there was a lot to learn but I also was told that these 2 easy steps would immediately increase my daily intake of fresh, raw and healthy foods.

Changing To A Raw Food Diet – Step 1 Adding Raw Vegetables to every meal.

You can add salad vegetables and chopped vegetables to any main meal or snack. So Instead of placing a giant piece of Lasagne on Your plate, Add some side dishes of raw Veg. The Lasagne will have to make a bit of room on the plate so you will have a smaller portion of the cooked food and more raw food.

This is a bit simplistic but if you get used to doing this you will start to plan your meals allowing for the fresh vegetables. You will also buy smaller portions of the main meal because you know you will not be able to eat all of the food you used to. Your dinner plate will also start to look more appealing because of all the colours of the different vegetables.

Changing To A Raw Food Diet – Step 2 Start Juicing Fruit And Vegetables

Juicing is the easiest way to pile raw food into your body. You will find that you can mix both fruit and vegetables in your juice recipes and they will allow you to have a huge of natural nutrients in just one juice drink. You can juice almost anything even Spinach and Brocoli. Because you haven’t cooked all the vitamins and nutrients out of the food you will get a huge improvement in your overall health.

To Make your own juices you do need a good heavy duty juicer to cope with daily use. The best ones will take complete fruits without the need for chopping and slicing. Having said that My first juicer was tiny and lasted me for a couplr of years before I upgraded.

The other benefit of adding juices to your diet is that they can be ready very quickly. For a quick breakfast taken onthe run they are ideal. You do have to be careful with some fruits that can give you an overdose of glucose and other chemicals. I generally use a mix of fruits and vegetables in all my juices to try to avoid this.
